Teeth Whitening in Milpitas

One of the most popular dental procedures among the general public is tooth whitening.
In response to the public’s desire for whiter, more faultless smiles, a variety of tooth
whitening treatments have been available. These include products that can be used at
home, such as toothpastes, gels, and films, as well as in-office systems that use
extremely concentrated bleaching agents applied under professional supervision.

Any procedure that lightens the color of a tooth is referred to as tooth whitening.
Physical stain removal or a chemical reaction to lighten the tooth color are also options
for whitening. The chemical breakdown of the chromogens is referred to as bleaching.

Most whitening products contain hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), which comes in two forms:
hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide. Carbamide peroxide is a stable compound
that releases hydrogen peroxide when it comes into contact with water.

The chemistry of most tooth whitening is hydrogen peroxide because carbamide peroxide releases
hydrogen peroxide.

Milpitas Dental Clinic strives to deliver the most up-to-date techniques and technologies
available to a dentist in order to get the best potential results for our patients.
To take teeth whitening to the next level, our clinic teamed up with GLO Professional

Treatments.

In-office Whitening

In approximately an hour, you may do this task swiftly and painlessly!
When it comes to treating patients, Dr. is at the top of her game,
constantly delivering the best results.
In addition to her sensitive hands, the teeth whitening procedure includes GLO’s
warming heat and light concentration technology, as well as professional level whitening
gel.

Whitening at Home

You can also purchase a do-it-yourself whitening kit and follow our dentist’s
recommendations. Without the GLO Device, here’s how to utilize GLO Vials.

1) To hydrate, nourish, and protect your lips, use GLO Lip Care — you’ll love it!

2) Squeeze a small bead of whitening gel onto the brush tip after removing the cover
from the GLO Vial (approximately the size of a pea).

3) Brush the gel onto your top and bottom teeth in small circular motions, concentrating
on the fronts alone. It is not necessary to apply a large amount of gel; only a very thin
layer is required. The gel will stay in place without the use of strips because it is thick.
The GLO Vial gel will froth somewhat before entering and evaporating. Voila! The stains
are starting to fade, revealing a brighter, whiter smile!

4) Repeat the technique after five minutes. For whitening, apply three times a day for
three days, and as needed for touch-ups and stain removal. Use for up to 10 days, or
until you achieve your desired shade of white, and touch-ups as needed.

Using LEDs to Whiten Teeth

LED whitening kits are a new type of at-home whitening system. These kits have
become increasingly popular in recent years. They cost anything between $50 to $300.

This non-invasive method employs an LED light to speed up the whitening process.
LED whitening treatments both whiten and strengthen your teeth. They also have a
dramatic and quick whitening effect.

Before the LED whitening operation, the teeth are first treated with a bleaching agent
(usually peroxide-based).

After that, the whitening agent is activated, and the chemical
reaction is launched with the help of the LED light.
