Dental benefits of salt

A common spice used in everyday cooking is common salt, often known as sodium
chloride. It is available in a range of shapes and particle sizes, depending on the
intended use. It is used to preserve food as well as in cooking.

mouth.
In conjunction with routine plaque control, a small 2017 study found that saltwater rinses
are efficient at reducing dental plaque and the number of oral bacteria.
